Without cumbersome structure, special technical understanding or on-site support. So far, Heidrich has had 10,000 radiators built each year in Arnsdorf near Görlitz. He is currently adjusting production to 50,000 units. And he thinks even further. "The storage media are getting better. Currently we have a power overproduction in many countries, all are looking for buyers. The two facts together call for a new heating generation. We will develop them here. "

In order to be able to implement his ideas, he needs passionate employees, "strictly conservative trained and totally modern thinking". "Is that even possible?" asks the father of two himself and laughs. "We have to make better but simpler products at the same time. My phone has 800 features that I do not use and do not understand. Our heating should be different." Things are different at Thermotec. The punching bag, for example, hanging in front of a world map in the hallway. "The hip advertising agencies have soccer tables for compensation. We need something more tangible." Only if he saw a picture of himself on the punching bag one morning, then he would have to think about what went wrong, says Heidrich. Somehow different from the usual lounges is the cool lounge, which is available to all employees during breaks. Sebastian Heidrich has located them behind the factory buildings on an idyllic bathing pond. Lately, in good weather he holds weekly meetings there.

The boss is about to let go. He used to want to know everything, controlled a lot and would have liked to do everything he was not 100% satisfied with. Now he has even distanced from the company, moved to Leipzig for private reasons, no longer comes to the company every day. And he trusts his people a lot more. "It pays off, they are incredibly pure and they want to prove that it works." To continue on his way, he needs employees who, in addition to all theoretical knowledge, "know how steel smells" and who can organize themselves. So that he can take care of the strategy for the future even more. Because he firmly believes in that.
